Magna Mirrors, a division of MagnaDonnelly, had introduced a break-through, extendable rearview mirror for light trucks and light commercial vehicles. They got a taste of success in the Aftermarket, but lacked the in-house knowledge of the industry, resulting in flat sales. Corporate management wanted growth and profits or would close the division. Through research and a strategic development process, we created an effective business and go-to-market plan. The plan included a road map that plotted out the manufacturing, warehousing, sales and administrative sides of the business. The plan also outlined CapX for R&D and tooling; a 12-month pay-off of all investments in facilities and tooling; and significant private label market opportunities.
